Mylen's landscape paintings are created with oil,

mixed media and wax.  The inevitable fact of being a part of the natural landscape has, in explicit and implicit ways, connects her to her sense of self, personal story, artistic practice and prior work as a teaching artist.  

Mylen's creative process is a reflection on embracing the grace of nature that provides her the opportunity to interpret the complexities of mind and heart.
